Gray Horses

The "Gray" color is a mixture of black and white throughout the coat, varying from light to iron (very dark). The skin is black and most have dark eyes. Unlike many de-pigmentation genes, gray does not affect the eyes. Many people who are not familiar with horses will often mistake a gray horse for a white horse. It is a very common mistake but gray horses have dark skin while white horses have pink skin.
