Sassy the 9 year old Arabian from Clover Leaf Stables

 

History The Arabian is the oldest pure breed horse in the world. The Arabian can be traced back over 5,000 years to the wild horse of the Yemen. Although spirited and even fiery, the Arab is also gentle and easy managed. Known for its high spirits, but gentle temperament which makes it a popular riding horse around the world.
Conformation A small head with a Broad forehead, fine muzzle and concave profile. Added on the wide nostrils. small ears and its clearly jowl with a throat set in a distinctly arched cure. The Arab has a graceful curving neck with long slopping shoulders and well defined withers. Its body is deep and roomy with a broad, deep chest and short, level back. They have a high-set tail: hard clean limbs, with well-defined tendons and dense, fine bones. The distinctive appearance stems from a structural formation of 17 ribs, 16 tail vertebrae, and 5 lumbar bones. Arab feet are well-shaped and they have a fine, silky mane and tail.
